SELF-MADE WEIGHTS
For my fourth period P.E. class my classmates and I were told to make weights at home, bring them into class, and write a three paragraph paper on why we made that weight in particular, what we plan to use the weight for plus what muscle it helps us exercise, and how much we saved by not buying a certain weight at the store.
With this project I decided to fill a water bottle with rice (as seen in the image above). I decided to create this weight because it was easy to do with having empty water bottles from recycling and rice in the pantry. Now that I have this homemade weight I feel it isn’t heavy enough for me to use it in my work out but on the other hand I plan to give it to my grandmother for her to pick it up once and awhile to squeeze and help her with the joints in her fingers or to raise up to help her build her triceps so that way she can be stronger even for an elderly.
